There are more inspirations, but, these three come to mind at the moment.

This page is just to post things I find that make me feel like shit about the state of the world, and to hopefully encourage other people to change their ways, and to keep reminding myself to change my own ways.

Collapse is an amazing book on how societies can and have collapsed.  It’s about how terribly we treat the planet, and how we can do better.

Facts that are told in ‘The Story of Stuff’ are things i know, things I hear, things that should make me stop shopping.  When Annie puts it all together, I grow disgusted at myself and at my society.  I think we are a lazy society, but I also think there are a lot of great things going on.  I have faith in my generation to start fixing what our parents generation started.  I’m not blaming here… I mean, they were just testing stuff out right?  Well, now that we know, lets fix!

The Beauty Myth is about how “women represent 50% of the world population, they perform nearly two-thirds of all working hours, receive only one-tenth of the world income and own less than one percent of world property.”  Also, did you know that cosmetic surgery, eating disorders, diet industry, cosmetics industry and pornographic industry skyrocketed just after the womens liberation movement, when women entered the work force?  Anyways, both of those are pulled from the book… you should read the rest.
